Pachamama Coffee

About Pacha

The Pachamama Coffee Cooperative of Small-Scale Coffee Producers (Pacha) is the most direct way to buy coffee from organic farmers around the world. Pacha, the leading farmer-owned distributor of premium coffee in the U.S.A., is cooperatively owned by thousands of farmers in Ethiopia, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico and Peru. A unique social enterprise, the cooperative markets and distributes its members' best coffee under these Farmer-Owned brands: Pacha Coffee, CoffeeCSA, and Traceable Coffee. Pacha is 100% farmer-owned and democratically governed.

Pacha was founded in 2001 by leading farmer-owned coffee cooperatives in Peru (COCLA) and Nicaragua (PRODECOOP) -- in an effort improve the lives of coffee farmers by shortening an inefficient supply chain and connecting farmers and consumers directly. Pacha has worked closely with businesses, non-profits, certifiers and sustainability organizations since its founding. Pacha supports the B Corporation community's aspiration to raise the bar through better business practices.
