As a major Australian customer-owned financial institution, People’s Choice has been supporting and empowering members since 1949. We work with our members, not just to meet their financial service needs but to enable dreams and aspirations, build fulfilling lives and create a sustainable future. At People’s Choice, we focus on maximising benefits for our members and the wider community, rather than on shareholder returns. As part of that we absolutely recognise our part in addressing environmental sustainability. People’s Choice is carbon neutral and our head office in Adelaide is one of Australia’s greenest buildings having a 6 Green Star certification, a 6-star NABERS energy rating, and a 5.5-star NABERs water rating. Through our suite of fundraising, giving and sponsorship programs we routinely contribute more than 4% of our pre-tax profit to community benefit programs. People’s Choice sought B Corp certification to underpin our social and environmental efforts, and to support the development of a clearer pathway to further improve benefits to people, communities, and the planet.
